Angels Fall 2023 After School Program
Overview
The 2023 Fall After School program is a one-hour baseball/softball training program that introduces the game of baseball/softball to 30 boys/girls from five Title 1 schools in Montgomery County. We will be working with a different school each day of the week for seven weeks.
- Mondays - Watkins Mill ES
- Tuesdays - Captain James Daly ES
- Wednesdays - Gaithersburg MS
- Thursdays - Washington Grove ES
- Fridays - Gaithersburg ES
The majority of the kids that will participate in this program do not have the means to participate in organized youth baseball/softball programs; and therefore have likely never picked up a bat or ball. This program is designed to give these kids an opportunity to see whether they have the ability, or interest, in the game. Angels Baseball was founded on the belief that all kids should get an opportunity to find success; to find out whether they have a passion for the game without having to worry about whether they can afford to play. They deserve the opportunity to receive the proper level of instruction that allows them to truly determine whether they have the ability to play the game. And Angels Baseball wants to, and is in a position to provide that opportunity.
Donate to Support
We will not be charging the families or the school for the program. We will fund the program completely through the generosity of others. Our target goal for the program is $9,470. This amount covers 150 kids participating in one 7-hour sessions between September 11, 2023 and October 27, 2023. Angels Youth Development is a division of Angels Baseball, and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are 100% tax deductible. Those that contribute $250 or more will receive a donation receipt. All others will receive a receipt by request.
